For those of you who don’t follow me on IG – you should btw! – I have given birth to my baby girl! She came 4 weeks early and surprised us all. She was in such a hurry to get here that she wasn’t yet fully baked, so she had to spend an extra 8 days in the NICU. But all is good now and we are so excited to have little baby Ariella at home and healthy. You can check out my IG post here to see some early pics of my sweetheart with her older brother.

I didn’t quit prepare for her to come so early, so I still have some really great pregnancy content to share with you guys – hope you don’t mind!

Just days before I gave birth, I was sporting this causal little number. If you know me, you know that sneakers, or kicks as I like to call them, are not a regular part of my wardrobe. I prefer more dressy looks and typically opt for heels or ballerina flats. However, when the occasion rises, like say when you’re 35+ weeks pregnant, kicks become a staple. Plus, if I can find cute dresses, like this leopard print one from ASOS, to pair with my white kicks, I will sport them all day long! The kicks also allow me to take an otherwise more dressy look and dress is down for daytime/casual wear.

So how exactly do you do it, you ask? Simple.

Step 1: Put on a cute dress, knee-length or shorter – this can be done with a maxi as well, but I prefer a bit shorter.

Step 2: Dress down the outfit by adding a layer, like this trench or this vest.

Step 3: Add all white sneakers and your amazing purse. Boom. Done. Easy as pie!

What do you think? Are you a fan of a dress with sneakers?

Happy Monday! Love how you styled the dress and sneakers and you have the CUTEST bump!

I need to get a pair of white sneakers for this purpose. I love wearing dresses when it gets warmer but sometimes I just want to wear a pair of comfy sneaks instead of fancier “dress appropriate” shoes.

This totally speaks my language. I am so uncomfortable in cute girl shoes. But I love skirts and dresses. In the winter, I wear boots. But in summer, I look for cute ways to avoid heels. This is a fun look.

Congratulations on your baby girl!!! I hope you are getting some sleep. This was a fun post for me because I’m from Toronto and remember how excited I would get when the weather would warm up. 🙂

This is so adorable!! I have been rocking dresses with my converse recently! I really like this dress too because since its meant to stretch and be form fitting, you can still wear it after the baby!! Congrats btw!!
