Okay, so one baby is a lot of work. But two, two is a game changer. There is no relief – not that you need relief from your lovely children…😂. But that’s the truth. You each have to be responsible for one child at all times, so time really does becomes a luxury. When Chris and Jasper get home, I hand over Ariella so that Jasper and I can spend some time together. Then we swap so that I can feed her and Chris can feed Jasper. And repeat. Over and over again. I’m sure eventually it will get easier, but right now, that is the status quo.
So when you come across a rug that is not only natural, eco-friendly and stylish, but is also – wait for it – MACHINE WASHABLE, you are beyond ecstatic! OMG. Yes, I said it. A rug that is machine washable! I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited about something that goes on the floor of my kids’ rooms, but I can’t help it. Especially with a toddler that comes home with sticky-icky fingers and insists on laying on every surface, rubbing his chocolatey mouth and hands everywhere. Or a little baby who’s digestive system is developing and often has big bouts of spit up while engaging in tummy time. Needless to say, “machine washable” is a magical phrase around my house right now.
Let me get right to it and tell you about the product. This rug from Lorena Canals is designed in Spain, uses only all natural dyes, is handmade, eco-friendly (contains no VOCs) and of course, as I’ve already mentioned, machine washable. They have a wide range of styles to fit any room, from adult spaces to a sophisticated kids rooms. I got the Ombré grey rug after hours of deliberation – I was seriously torn between so many of them. It fits so perfectly into baby Ella’s new nursery, which as you can see is pretty much just grey and white. It’s also super soft, which makes for a great surface to play on.
And lastly, because you know I love a product that supports a good cause, proceeds support the Sakula project and provide schooling for children in India.
